The Board of Directors sets Chamber policy and hires the Executive Director, who is the Chamber spokesperson and community liaison of the organization. The Chamber’s Executive Director, along with a professional team of volunteers, interns, independent contractors and consultants, assists in implementing the policies of the Board.

Executive Director

As Executive Director of the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce, Catherine White brings more than 30 years of community, commerce, and leadership experience. Under her direction since November 2019, the NR Chamber has increased its membership, developed programs to meet the needs of member businesses during the pandemic, become a lead advocate for business and economic development in the region and won Westchester Magazine’s Best Chamber of Commerce for 2021 and 2022. City Manager Chuck Strome appointed White to the newly created New Rochelle Retail Taskforce to create a comprehensive plan for New Rochelle’s commercial success going forward.

She served as a member of the Selection Committee for the Rebound New Rochelle Grant, a new initiative to help New Rochelle’s businesses and residents persist and transition to the new normal in a covid and post-covid world. County Executive George Latimer appointed White to the Westchester Reopening Task Force, resulting in the passage of legislation, grants, and initiatives to help residents, businesses, industry, health care, labor, and hospitality find solutions to advance their interests in a post-coronavirus economy. She was recently named by City & State NY as one of the Eight Westchester Heroes Who Battled the Coronavirus. White was awarded the Woman Trailblazer Award for Entrepreneurship & Business from the Westchester Community Opportunity Program, Inc., (WestCOP) and is the 2022 Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle Smart Girls Program Award Recipient.

Catherine White serves, and has served, on multiple boards including, New Rochelle Council on the Arts, Thomas Paine International Historical Center – Advisory Board, Partnership for Huguenot Children’s Library, Girl Scouts of New Rochelle, and the Westchester-Putnam Council BSA Eagle Committee. White and her husband own a brokerage firm on Long Island and prior to joining the NR Chamber, White had a successful career writing about local New Rochelle events and human-interest stories.

Matthew Ricker

Matthew Ricker

Host of The Chamber Show

Matthew Ricker is a 2018 Iona College graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Broadcast Media and a Minor in Media, Politics and Society.

While studying at Iona College, he served as a reporter for ICTV (Iona College Television), a radio show host, a writer for the school newspaper, and the Social Media Manager for the Admissions office.  He spent two semesters as a Fox News intern, where he worked in their Editing Department and was part of one of their news segments entitled, “Your World with Neil Cavuto”.  He also worked as a co-host for the “Iona College Radio Hour” on WVOX from 2018-2019.

He currently works as the Employee Benefits Clerk for the City School District of New Rochelle and volunteers at the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce as the radio host for The Chamber Show.
